Inaugurated in late 1992 in the city of São Paulo, SESC Ipiranga – Social Service of Commerce – succeeds in serving about 3,500 people daily in its more than 8,000 m2 of built area. The unit has exhibit and living areas, multipurpose performance rooms, gym, semi-Olympic swimming pool, solarium, bike rack, dental clinic and food area. One of the hallmarks of the building is the pool covering that during the day provides natural light to swimmers and overnight creates a huge lantern in the garden of the unit.
