Due to the hot and humid climate characteristic of Ubatuba, the architects’ main concern was to ensure user’s comfort, thereby using large openings that allow ventilation and daylighting inside the home. Another feature of this residence of 250 m2 is its division into two blocks: a ground floor one that accommodates the areas of social interaction, such as the kitchen and living room; and another block accommodates the two children’s bedrooms on the ground floor and the couple’s bedroom above to be more reserved. Thus, the design of the dwelling encourages family life, while ensuring the privacy of all residents. Linking the two blocks there is a slab that provides an open area, but still shaded and welcoming the residents.
