Completed in 2010, the refurbishing of the 8,540 m2 of the headquarters of Grupo Folha sought to integrate the two existing buildings, the central one and its annex, and their newsrooms for Folha de S. Paulo and Agora São Paulo, focusing on the possibility of implementing new work dynamics on the location and improving the comfort of the users of both buildings. The path adopted to start the refurbishing was to join spatially the fourth and fifth floors of the central building through a cut in the slab, and use the space previously occupied by an industrial kitchen in the annex building to house two circulation staircases. Using the metal structure to accomplish the refurbishing, the practice also chose to use vibrant colors to compose the ambiance and assist in the visual communication of the refurbished wards.
